Sunday

Home is where is the heart is..

As many of you already know I consider this beautiful place my home..

Heidelberg, Deutschland!

I left Germany at age 13 (almost) and it was hard but for the better. Because now this is my home away from home...

Eugene, Oregon

It is so crazy how both places are so similar but so different at the same time. Both very green and very luscious with landscape but Heidelberg is a very old town. Its claim to fame is actually having the oldest University in Europe. Eugene changes everyday. Obviously it is a more modern city which brings a better economy, so on and so on.

So I guess what I am saying is.. Home is where the heart is. My heart is here.

I am so happy here in Eugene that is sad to see people move off and "get out of here". This town has been so good to me and it is definetly the place where I want to raise my family.

I am so happy to have found this place.

Monday

Those days where you wake & everything seems right in the world..

Today I woke up with the best attitude ever. I feel like for once, everything seems right.
All the wedding stuff has been falling in place.
The sun has been shining & summer is on its way.
The hotel has been busy with some amazing guests.
Today is my FRIDAY, which always helps my mood.
What could go wrong?

Sunday

And the countdown begins..

SIX MONTHS! Yes you heard it right. It is now six months until I will be a Mrs! So unreal but also the most amazing feeling. Our wedding plans have been stalled in the last couple weeks due to Rawley being really sick. The worst part about it is he hates doctors so it has been a struggle to get him feeling better but I think this week will be a good week to get back on track.

I decided to take this term off so we can save for our wedding and the time I will have to take off. I am looking at it as an extra long summer vacation but I always miss school when I'm not there- I know I'm weird. Usually grad classes are more specfied to your interests so it's not like I am taking Chemistry but more like The Minds of Juveniles or Measure 11 Crimes, which I am interested in so it's almost easier? I plan to return in the Fall even though the wedding is two weeks into the term I think I can handle it. We are going to take a small honeymoon right after the wedding then take a cruise during Winter Break a couple months later. So psyched!

Our goal for this week is to finish and send off our "Save the Dates"! Taking it one step at a time..

Love one another and you will be happy. It's as simple and as difficult as that.

"The girl is crafty like ice is cold!"

If you know me, you know I love to craft! I love anything I can DIY. I mean our second bedroom is practically a crafters paradise. I have been beading for a few years but for Christmas my parents got me a sewing machine and it might be one of the best gifts I have received. My latest project has been this bag. It deserves a nice pat on the back & if you get one for your birthday/Christmas, don't be surprised! :)

As for other crafts, I also redid our bathroom counter! The covering is actually drawer lining sheets or I call them vinyl stickers. I loved this print so much I thought I would try it on top instead of just in the drawers and it worked out perfect. The best part about the project is the supply list. All you need is an exacto knife and this covering can be found at the Dollar Tree!!
I wish I had a before picture but it was an ugly brown and now voilĂ , beautiful!

I cannot wait to start crafting for the wedding, any helpful volunteers? ;)
